These luxurious and long-lasting flowers are surprisingly easy to grow, with that huge bulb providing all the magic growth that’s required. All you need to do is pot it up in a free-draining compost mix, leaving the top third of the Hippeastrum 'Akiko' bulb visible, and place it in a bright and warm spot, watering occasionally. At least one flower stalk will emerge several weeks later. There couldn’t be an easier way to energise your home with fresh floral power during the darker days of the year!
